24/7 property-based support · Built for CQC-regulated providers

Supported living software built around people and properties

CareOS manages properties, tenancies, shift rotas, Active Support sessions, MCA/DoLS, behaviour support and shift-based eMAR — designed for how supported living actually works, not adapted from home care.

Everything supported living providers need

Purpose-built for supported living — not adapted from another care setting.

Property & tenancy management

Every property and tenancy in one place — with tenancy records, property compliance checks and per-property staffing.

Shift-based rostering

Roster whole-house shifts rather than visits, with swim-lane rota views, shift handovers and cross-sector conflict checking for shared staff.

Active Support sessions & routines

Plan and record engagement sessions and daily routines per person, with started-by and ended-by attribution across shift handovers.

MCA & DoLS tracking

Mental Capacity Act assessments, best-interest decisions and DoLS applications tracked with renewal dates and evidence in one register.

PBS insights

Positive behaviour support plans with incident-linked insights, so behaviour patterns inform strategies instead of sitting in paper files.

Restrictive practice register

A dedicated register for restrictive practices with reduction planning and oversight — evidence for commissioners and CQC alike.

Keyworker sessions

Structured keyworker sessions with goals and outcomes, keeping person-centred work visible and consistent across the team.

One-page profiles & communication passports

Person-centred profiles, communication passports and PEEPs that travel with the person — accessible to every staff member on shift.

Shift-based eMAR

Medication recording built for shift work: whole-house rostered access, blister-pack support, stock tracking and controlled-drug workflows.

Shared-device tablet mode

A dedicated tablet login for the property means staff record support on a shared house device without sharing personal accounts.

Quality-of-life outcomes

Track quality-of-life measures and support-plan outcomes per person, so reviews are driven by evidence rather than recollection.

Finance & payroll

Shift-based payroll with scheduled-versus-actual hours, manual adjustment audit trails, invoicing and funder-aware billing.

Supported Living — frequently asked questions

Is CareOS a home care system adapted for supported living?

No. Supported living in CareOS is its own sector with its own modules — properties, tenancies, shifts, Active Support sessions, MCA/DoLS and shift-based eMAR — built for 24/7 property-based support rather than timed home visits.

Can staff record support on a shared house device?

Yes. Each property can have a dedicated tablet login, so staff on shift record sessions, routines and medications on a shared device without sharing personal credentials.

How does CareOS handle MCA and DoLS?

Capacity assessments, best-interest decisions and DoLS applications are tracked per person with dates, outcomes and renewals, giving you a live register for oversight and inspection.

Does the eMAR work for supported living rather than visits?

Yes. Medication recording is shift-based: any carer rostered to the property can record for tenants there, with blister-pack support, stock tracking and the same safety alerts used across CareOS.

Can we run supported living and home care in one account?

Yes. CareOS is multi-sector: each service runs in its own sector workspace with its own rotas, records and reporting, while staff, recruitment and compliance are managed once.
