CareOS is built as a complete operating system for care providers — Home Care, Supported Living, Care Homes, Children’s Homes and Staffing Agencies — not just a care recording tool. While most systems focus on care plans and visit logging, CareOS also includes recruitment, workforce compliance, AI scheduling, finance, and reporting in one platform.
Yes. CareOS replaces recruitment tools, HR systems, scheduling software, care management platforms, compliance trackers, and reporting tools with one unified system.
Yes. CareOS is designed to scale with your organisation. It supports growing numbers of people supported, staff growth, multi-team and multi-site operations — and even multiple care sectors — without needing additional systems.
CareOS is ideal for UK care providers — Home Care, Supported Living, Care Homes, Children’s Homes and Care Staffing agencies — that want to move away from spreadsheets and disconnected systems, improve compliance, reduce admin, and gain better visibility across their operations.
CareOS includes every feature as standard on one all-inclusive subscription. Unlike many care software providers that charge extra for eMAR, reporting, or compliance tools, CareOS gives you everything without add-ons or feature tiers. Home care pricing is published in full: from £9 per client per month on a 24-month price lock (£10 on a 12-month term), with a £100 monthly minimum and a sliding scale that lowers your rate as you grow. Supported living, care homes, children's homes and care staffing run on their own pricing models — talk to us for those.

Byte River Ltd, which operates CareOS, holds NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit Standards Exceeded for 2025-26 and Cyber Essentials Plus, and is registered with the ICO (ZB847215). The platform includes role-based access control, an append-only audit log of every data change, a separate database per customer organisation, and application-layer encryption for identifiers such as NHS numbers.
CareOS, operated by Byte River Ltd, achieved DSPT Standards Exceeded for 2025-26 (version 8), published 22 July 2026. Our ODS code is L8N6V and the status can be verified independently through the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit organisation search. A DSPT status is annual, so check the year alongside the status on any supplier, including us. This is a DSPT status and not a place on the NHS Assured Solutions List, which we do not claim.
SmartRota is CareOS’s AI-powered scheduling system. It automatically matches carers to clients based on skills, continuity, availability, and travel time. It also shows why each match was made, giving you full transparency.

We make switching painless — and free. Our team handles the whole migration: clients, care plans, assessments, schedules, medication records and staff, using purpose-built importers for common UK systems plus document and spreadsheet imports. Most providers are live within days, not weeks, and you review everything before switchover.
